On Thursday, October 22nd, 2015, Linda Walker Horbal the President and Certification Director of the Human Resource Association of Greater New Haven Area (HRAGNH) came to speak to the SHRM@QU members. Linda explained to the students the journey she took to where she is today. Today she is the Project Coordinator of the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH). The students were curious as to leadership development she experienced in life. Throughout her life her she was prepared to be a leader through the positions she held. When at Midstate Medical Center she developed a leadership-training program. She not only explained her leadership roles in life but she gave the students advice on how to juggle everything from working in the real world to families and relationships. Linda opened the eyes of the students to the different types of leaderships roles and the importance of balance in their lives. [Post written by Chelsea Campbell]
The SHRM@QU members greatly appreciated these words of wisdom. We would like to thank Mrs. Walker Horbal for taking the time out of her busy work schedule to talk with us about her career and share her advice.
