On April 14th, 2015, SHRM@QU had the pleasure of having Dr. Therese Sprinkle plus board members of the HRAGNH chapter, and CT SHRM state council representatives come to Quinnipiac University for a workshop. Margaret Judge, Past State Director of CT SHRM, presented SHRM@QU with a check of $250 dollars for our excellent job over the past year and in honor of the members that participated in the SHRM student case competition.
Professor Sprinkle’s workshop focused on flexible work arrangements, research results, and ways to strategize the use of technology to manage the work-home boundary. She showed us results from experiments to conclude the best ways for employees to organize their work and home life. Her interactive workshop asked participants to brainstorm ideas and address the dilemmas she presented. The HRAGNH and CT SHRM members also provided input and advice as professionals in the HR field, and we were able to discuss the different perspectives, expectations, and experiences.
